NHS changes

BASSETLAW’S GP’s have been chosen to spearhead NHS changes that will see frontline medics have a greater say on how budgets are spent.

They will be among the first in the country to be assessed and become a statutory body responsible for a budget of around £140 million.

In April 2013 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will succeed local Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) as the organisations responsible for commissioning healthcare across the UK.
