NHS Trust supported Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day

The dangers of child sexual exploitation were highlighted by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) who supported the second National Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Awareness Day.

Dianne Dietzel, Operational Lead from LCHS, describes the dangers of CSE. She said: “Child Sexual Exploitation in its simplest form is as a type of sexual abuse whereby children are sexually exploited for money, power or status.

“CSE typically involves a child or young person receiving things such as gifts, money, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs or food in return for performing sexual activities.”

LCHS’s advice on staying safe online includes keeping your passwords private and remembering to log out of social network sites in shared computers to save other people pretending to be you and posting things you would not write.
