No town bid

WORKSOP will not be bidding to share £1 million of Government money to make huge improvements with to the high street help from Mary Portas.

Last year, the Government asked Portas to conduct an independent review into the state of the UK’s high streets and town centres.

Now, to implement her findings, they’re looking for 12 run-down high streets in England to to apply for up to £100,000 to make huge improvements with help from a dedicated team and Mary Portas herself - but Bassetlaw say they will be focussing on Retford.
