North Anston: Butterfly House fundraises for endangered birds
The Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife and Falconry Centre on Woodsetts Road, North Anston, has raised £5,753 for VulPro.
The charity is based in South Africa and work to protect critically endangered vultures. A fundraising event earlier this month boosted the total by £1,200.
Bird trainer, Justine Lig, will shave her head on International Vulture Awareness Day on 6th September because their set target of £5,000 in sponsorship and donations has been reached. Her head will be shaved on 6th September in the bird shows at 12.30pm and 2.30pm at the centre. Visitors can sponsor Justine on the day or via www.vulpro.co.uk.
