Louis’ sisters Lottie aged 15, Felicity 13, Daisy 10, and Phoebe Tomlinson, 10, have signed up to the Bluebell Wood Colour Dash, a 5K run with vibrant fun at Rother Valley Country Park, Sheffield on Saturday 3 May 2014.

The girls visited the North Anston based hospice to model the events merchandise and accessories which are now on sale in regional branches of New Look, and via the charity’s own online shop.

The colour dash concept has been a huge success in the United States and Bluebell Wood is the first charity in the Yorkshire region to host this type of event.

The run was launched in early February and all of the 2,000 places have now been taken.

The Tomlinson sisters are getting behind the run by modelling fun accessories that can be bought by walkers, joggers and runners to make the day even more fun and vibrant. They are also urging participants to support the cause by raising as much sponsorship as possible for the event.

Lottie said: “I’m really excited to be able to get involved with the Colour Dash and support Bluebell Wood.”

“I first heard about the hospice when Louis became a patron of the charity.”

“It’s a fantastic organisation and I’d encourage everyone taking part to raise as much sponsorship as they can to help the children and families who use Bluebell Wood.”

If every colour dasher raised £10 sponsorship this could ensure all the children who the charity provide care for enjoy lots of fun and laughter in the messy play room at the hospice.

Merchandise including visors, tutus, wristbands and sunglasses is available to buy online from £10.50.

It is also available to buy from New Look stores around the region including Worksop, Doncaster and Sheffield Fargate.

Alternatively you can buy your Colour Dash accessories on the day of the event.

Helen Mower, head of fund-raising at Bluebell Wood added: “The response we have had to sign ups has been incredible and we have unfortunately had to close entries.”

“But if anyone would still like to get involved with the Colour Dash we are still recruiting volunteers to help with all different activities throughout the day”.”
