North Somercotes Primary pupils get a taste of secondary school life

Children from North Somercotes Primary School enjoyed a day of activities at Somercotes Academy to give them a taste of secondary school life.

The Year 5 pupils took part in a variety of lessons, including Art and Technology.

Sophie Appleby,10, said: “We have had a great day here and I have enjoyed it.”

Martin Brown, executive principal of Somercotes Academy said: “Welcoming primary school children into the academy gives them the opportunity to see what secondary school is like and boosts their confidence for the move in the future.”
