Nostalgia: Gladys arrives to cheers in Skegness/Horncastle walk
In the 1976 Skegness to Horncastle Walking Race, Gladys Tingle was welcomed to cheers as the third woman home, in a time of four hours and 31 minutes.
However, cheers turned to gasps as she collapsed on the line, but after a short spell with the St John brigade members, she was thankfully back on her feet.
