Nostalgia - pupils going for gold at Sir William Robertson School
Our nostalgia photo this week was taken in July 1991 towards the end of term at Sir William Robertson School in Welbourn.
Some readers may recognise BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenter Dave Bussey brandishing a microphone during a visit to the school as part of the radio station’s annual ‘Going For Gold’ appeal in which supporters put on events and made donations to the charity pot. There were live auctions, sponsored events and so on, and here we believe the students at the school were doing their bit for the cause.
Can anyone name those involved and tell us what they were doing to raise money?
