Here we have some revellers from January 1967 when Sleaford Amateurs football club held one of its social nights in the Mabern Club, situated in the Market Place.

Apparently the club was packed to capacity on a Tuesday evening for the annual social. Music was provided by Dawn and the Deejays, making their last Sleaford appearance.

Players, wives, girlfriends and guests enjoyed drinking, dancing and games, including an amusing, but rough, soccer match between the first team and wives, which the women easily won 3-1. It was officiated by referee Ken Parker.
