It shows how the ambulances and uniforms have changed. Can you name the staff?

○ Secondly we were contacted by Eric Haire of Sleaford, who recognised his brother Tony as the assistant professional at Sleaford Golf Club who was saying farewell in 1967 in our photo two weeks ago.

Metheringham-born Tony moved to Jersey and carried on playing golf, though not professionally, becoming president of a club. He went on to become a bank manager.

In a claim to fame, Tony was pictured teeing off on a set of the island’s stamps issued to celebrate sport.
