Notts: Firefighters free 33 trapped coach passengers after crash with lorries

Firefighters had to free 33 coach passengers who were left stranded onboard after it crashed with two lorries on the A1 in Notts.

The crash happened between Markham Moor and Tuxford just after 10.15am this morning (Monday 2nd March).

Six people were taken to hospital.

The A1 is closed southbound between the A57/A638 (Markham Moor) and the A6075 (Tuxford).

Motorists are being advised to leave the A1 at Markham Moor and follow the hollow diamond diversion symbol.

Take the A57 east via East Markham, then take the A6075 west to re-join the A1 at Tuxford.
