Notts: Flying the flag for the Commonwealth
Civic Leaders from Notts have been presented with Commonwealth flags ahead of a national Royal celebration of Commonwealth Day next month.
An estimated 500 flags will be raised simultaneously throughout the UK on Commonwealth Day (Monday 10th March) – the largest single raising of the Commonwealth flag ever.
Coun John Allin of Notts County Council, said: “I am delighted that every area of our county is joining together in this national celebration of the Commonwealth.”
