Notts: More strikes ahead for firefighters
The 24-hour walk out will take place across the country on Tuesday 9th December.
The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) say the strikes have come from government proposals to have firefighters work until they are 60 instead of 55 and fears over lower pension.

Hide AdMatt Wrack, FBU general secretary, said: “Firefighters across England are reluctantly calling further strike action today as a direct result of the Westminster government’s failure to listen and negotiate over pensions.
“Firefighters are asking the Westminster government to immediately open genuine negotiations to resolve this dispute.
The last strike, which lasted four days was on Friday 31st October until Tuesday 4th November and was backed by Bassetlaw MP John Mann.
He said: “Firefighters do not want to strike. They do a difficult, often dangerous job to keep us safe from harm.”

“Worryingly for all of us, firefighters could be forced to continue in an active role until the age of 60 with potentially disastrous consequences.”
