Notts: Poster competition aimed at reducing burglary

Youngsters aged 11 to 14-years-old from secondary schools in Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood designed the A3 posters to help raise awareness among their communities, families and friends of how best to protect their property from thieves.
The posters which were all highlight potential insecurities at home, the use of security marking and logging property, and the importance of reporting suspicions incidents and behaviour to police immediately.

Superintendant Manley said: “I am greatly impressed by all of the entries, it’s fantastic to see so many young people help us to fight crime and I know that if the parents take note of what their children are telling us, together we can make the community safer.”
