Notts: Public sector workers’ strike sweeps closes schools and services across Notts

Local leaders of the country’s biggest teaching union, the National Union of Teachers, said they expected the majority of schools to have no option but to close during Thursday’s national strike over pay and working conditions.

Caretakers and kitchen staff will stand alongside health workers, street cleaners and civil servants during the huge one-day stoppage by members of Unison, Unite the Union, the GMB, PCS and the Fire Brigades Union (FBU).
