He was 20 minutes late to sign on and so he was told to wait until he spoke to an officer.

Pridmore asked if he could bring his bicycle into the station. He was asked if there was anything in the bag on the handle bars and he said no.

Police searched the bag and found two syringes with liquid inside and he confirmed both belonged to him.

The syringes contained 2.80 grams of methylamphetamine.

In police interview, Pridmore admitted the offence.

In mitigation, Mark Stocks, said: “It is not the most sophisticated offence that you will come across.”

“It was entirely for personal use.”

The magistrates fined Pridmore £110, ordered him to pay costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.
