Julie and the two other finalists will next take part in a range of interesting tasks between today and June 19. It’s during this time that members of the Chartered Institute of Housing will be able to vote online for their favourite finalist, with the winner being announced at the Housing Heroes dinner and award ceremony in Manchester on June 22.

Julie was thrilled to be shortlisted for the award, adding: “The entry asked us to discuss the housing professional of the future, and because the nature of housing means that we can’t always predict the future, I focussed on the attributes the person would need to have. They need to have a thirst for continuous learning, and to be able to put this into action, to lead and improve services and to have the ability to put the customer at the heart of all that they do.”

If Julie manages to secure enough votes, she’ll be crowned the Rising Star of 2015 and will be able to take part in a range of exciting opportunities, including a VIP invitation to the CIH Presidential Dinner and even a day shadowing the CIH CEO.

The community can join in with supporting Julie too, with the hashtag #voteforjulie.
