Guardian brings back memories

On a recent visit to Worksop I read my friend’s copy of the Worksop Guardian and this brought back a lot of memories.

As a child, I remember my sister and I entering Uncle Robin’s painting competition.

Recently I found two articles in my mother’s recipe book, one was a picture of the prize I got for the competition which was a hand-painted needle case. The case is still in use. I am now 84 and it has done very good service.

The other article mentions my sister Kathleen Woodward’s birthday which must have been in November, though I cannot recall the year it appeared.
