Team Programme

I am writing to inform you that the next Prince’s Trust Team Programme in Bassetlaw starts on Monday 20th January.

This is a 12 week self-development programme for 16-25 year olds. The main focus is to help those seeking employment, further education or training.

In order to help the young people who attend our course, we aim to allow participation in activities and projects that will test them in many ways, some physically demanding, some mentally straining but all really rewarding! All achieved in the process of gaining a nationally recognised qualification. The young people will attend an adrenaline packed week long residential stay in Derbyshire, where they will be pushed to their limits taking part in outdoor activities such as abseiling, caving, climbing, rafting, gorge walking, mountain cycling and many others (weather dependant). Please note that there is no cost to the young person throughout the course, accommodation and food on residential and bus fares (if required) to the course are all covered by us.

We work alongside Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, so there will be activities whereby we will work with firefighters. We may have a day with the Army.

I am planning to hold an open day on Tuesday 14th January at Worksop Fire Station. I will be asking for anyone who is interested in joining the next team to attend the open day between 10am and 3pm for an informal chat - this will give opportunity for anyone to ask any questions they might have, meet the staff that will be involved on the team, talk about activities they may be taking part in and hopefully to sign them up for the following week!
