What greed by county council

There can be no other reason than greed for Lincolnshire County Council to dispatch an enforcement officer to Horncastle on any Sunday, let alone the Sunday during the Christmas holiday period.

It is ludicrous that motorists can park without enforcement in central London on a Sunday but have to contend with persecution in a small market town in Lincolnshire.

The council should administer parking control with the same thought and discretion as the police employed when it was their responsibility – and not let a heartless enforcement agency, whose only intention is to issue penalty notices whenever possible to make money, spoil the day for individuals and damage the town’s economic prospects in the process.
