The Mayor held two banquet nights at the India Garden with the assistance of proprietor Nadim Aziz and raised £730 for Rainbow Stars from the donation of 25 per cent of the takings on those evenings. They are pictured with co-leaders of the group Jane Peck and Hannah Owen and ‘mascot’ Ellis.

○ The restaurant, on behalf of the Sleaford Muslim Community Association, has also offered to provide a meal on June 12 for those who attend The Junction, a support project for local homeless and lonely, vulnerable people, which meets at the New Life Centre.

Wendy Oldershaw, one of The Junction volunteers, explained the association had previously paid for meals at The Junction for a week.
