The District Council has assured those businesses awaiting a grant that hundreds of payments are being made daily and money will be with those who have completed the online form within the next seven days.

Businesses who have not yet completed the online form are being urged to do so as soon as possible.

Councillor Adam Grist, Portfolio Holder for Market Towns and Rural Economy, said: “We realise that this is an incredibly difficult time for anyone who runs a business.

"We have a fantastic team working every day to process payments and we’ve brought in additional resource to help them get this money to you.
