A section of Richmond Drive from Skegness Cricket Club to Tesco’s junction will be repaired overnight from 7pm, with a diversion put in place until the road is re-opened at 5am.

Work on the next section to Richmond County Primary School starts on Thursday at 7pm and should be completed by Saturday.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place during the day to enable customers to access Tesco’s and Lidl supermarkets and to allow buses to access the bus station. Additional staff will also be on site to assist drivers during working hours.

Lincolnshire County Council says this is a cost-effective option due to the road’s current condition and once completed should last at least 10 years, without any additional maintenance being required.

The works are being carried out overnight to reduce disruption, and to ensure that residents can access two supermarkets, a bus station and a busy junction during normal working hours. A signed diversion will be in place and contractors will try to keep any noise to a minimum.

Access to residents’ properties will be maintained throughout the works.
