Pair accused of selling criminal property

Two men have appeared at Worksop Magistrates’ Court charged under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

David Potter, 46, of Cook Close, Belper, and Peter Cannadine, 47, of Gildingwells Road, Woodsetts, are charged with concealing, disguising, converting, transferring or removing criminal property, an articulated trailer at A1 Metal Recycling, in Elkesley between 6th September and 10th September 2011, by cutting it up and trying to sell it to another scrap dealer.

They also face a similar charge involving a quantity of magnesium between 1st May and 31st October 2011.

The case was sent to Nottingham Crown Court and will next be heard on 15th August.
