Pedestrian seriously hurt in collision on A17 then his dog hit by lorry


The man, in his 40s, suffered serious injuries from the collision on the A17 which took place around 10.14pm last night (Thursday), say Lincolnshire Police.
He remains in hospital and officers are appealing to find the driver of a passing lorry which struck his dog after the first collision.

Hide AdA force spokesman said: “The dog was taken to the vets and we believe it received minor injuries.
“The lorry failed to stop at the scene but we believe the driver may be able to assist us with our investigation.
“We are appealing for the lorry driver who was driving along this stretch of road at the time to contact us.
“We would also like to hear from any witnesses, or any drivers who may have dashcam footage of the area at around the time of the collision.
