'A great partnership': Engagement congratulations for Boston and Skegness MP Richard Tice
Boston and Skegness MP Richard Tice has received a wave of congratulations after his engagement to journalist and author Isabel Oakeshott was announced over the Christmas period.
The engagement, which followed a proposal on Boxing Day, has been shared publicly by figures within Reform UK, of which Mr Tice is also Deputy Leader.
Mr Tice and Ms Oakeshott have often been seen together during key moments in his political career. Ms Oakeshott was in the Boston and Skegness constituency during the general election campaign and was present at the count when Mr Tice was elected MP in July 2024.
During that time, she visited communities across the area alongside him and later wrote about the challenges facing coastal and rural towns such as Skegness and Boston.

Ms Oakeshott, a well-known political journalist and commentator, has since moved to Dubai, but the couple have continued their relationship alongside their professional commitments.
Messages of congratulations have appeared on social media from supporters and senior Reform UK figures, including the party leader Nigel Farage. Reform UK said in a statement: “Congratulations to Richard Tice and Isabel Oakeshott on their engagement. A great partnership for Reform UK.”
Boston and Skegness Reform Party Supporters said: “Congratulations to Richard Tice, our deputy leader of Reform UK and our MP. He proposed to Isabel Oakeshott on Boxing Day.
“We wish them every happiness for their future.”
The couple have not publicly announced any wedding plans.
Mr Tice was back at Westminster this week continuing constituency work but sent this comment regarding the good wishes received: ““I am delighted to announce the news of my engagement to Isabel, and, together, we offer our sincerest thanks to everyone who has offered their warmest wishes"
