The 53rd Boston Horse and Dog Show was held at Rosebery Avenue Playing Field on Sunday (June 7).
Hundreds of people attended the event, which featured 40 horse classes, 20 dog classes, a host of trade stands, and more.
As well as a family day out, the show also acts as a fundraiser for local and national charities. This year’s event took the lifetime total past the £40,000 mark, organisers have said.
A spokesman for the show gave a ‘huge thank you’ to all supporters past and present for helping them past the milestone.
“When Boston Horse and Dog show was set up over 50 years ago it was never believed it would be such a popular event, with hundreds attending year after year, some still attending since the very first show all those years ago – the creator being one,” they said.
“We are so proud as a committee to continue this family favourite event, with some people travelling from Lincoln, Newark, Holbeach, Grimsby and The Wolds.”
Continuing, they said: “We are all about making memories and we are so fortunate to welcome all levels of abilities and ages, some attending without a horse or dog, just coming along, having a wander around, and enjoying that gorgeous sunshine we had.”
