'Absolutely delighted' - Pumpkin patch near Boston raises more than £3,700 for domestic abuse service
A pumpkin patch near Boston has raised more than £3,700 for a local domestic abuse service.
The sum – £3,778 in total – has been presented to the Haven Domestic Abuse Service following the latest Bell's Pumpkin Patch.
The annual event, held at Bell’s Gardening Outlet, in Benington, returned in October for its 2025 run of dates.
Visitors were invited to donate to Haven by taking part in such activities as firing the UK’s largest pumpkin cannon.

The funds will be used to help adults and children affected by domestic abuse to access safe accommodation, emotional support, and specialist interventions to guide them move from crisis to stability and towards long-term recovery.
Haven gave its thanks to Bell’s Pumpkin Patch and all those who supported last year’s fundraising.
Chloe Waters, on behalf of Haven Domestic Abuse Service (formerly Boston Women’s Aid and, later, SoLDAS) said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed and incredibly grateful for the generosity of everyone who donated during the Bell’s Pumpkin Patch event.
“This fantastic amount will make a real difference to the families and individuals we support. Community support like this is vital in helping us continue delivering safe, trauma-informed services for survivors of domestic abuse.”

A spokesman for Bell’s Pumpkin Patch said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the incredible generosity of our visitors. So many people donated funds by firing the UK’s largest pumpkin cannon during the event, and by doing so have helped raise such a fantastic amount for Haven Domestic Abuse Service.
“The support Haven provides for victims of domestic abuse is so important and we’re proud that our visitors could help contribute funds towards their valuable services.”
