The charity’s Chief Executive Officer Andy Storer (pictured) is amongst employees, volunteers and supporters who have travelled around Lincolnshire dropping off the packages – showing united support for the area’s older community.

The initiative, which is led by Project Manager Liz Brooks (also pictured), forms part of the charity’s ‘Keep Connected’ Service, which is operating during the ongoing coronavirus crisis – its main focus being a telephone helpline. The deliveries also coincide with, and celebrate, The Great Get Together – the annual event that is taking place across the UK between June 19 and 21, to commemorate the life of Jo Cox MP. This year the focus is ‘to celebrate the power of community.

Age UK Lindsey, is appealing for donations to continue and expand its Keep Connected Service.
