Now the charity’s East Lincolnshire branch, which covers Sleaford, is making a special appeal to find homes for those animals who have had a particularly rough time.

RSPCA inspector Rebecca Harper said the branch is currently full to capacity with several cats, dogs and smaller animals needing homes.

“This time of the year is particularly difficult when it comes to getting the animals rehomed,” she says.
