The event was held recently at Franklin Hall, in Spilsby.

Fiendish questions on a wide range of topics were set by quiz-mistress Stef Round.

First and second-placed teams Are We On Time Tonight? and Singing For Fun Plus One, respectively, were only separated by half a point, and were rewarded with prizes and the Lapwings trophy.

Supper was provided, a raffle was held, and more than £500 was raised for the work of Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust throughout the county.

Next year’s quiz will be held on February 25.
