Annual quiz returns (and decided by half a point) and other Neighbourhood News
The event was held recently at Franklin Hall, in Spilsby.
Fiendish questions on a wide range of topics were set by quiz-mistress Stef Round.
First and second-placed teams Are We On Time Tonight? and Singing For Fun Plus One, respectively, were only separated by half a point, and were rewarded with prizes and the Lapwings trophy.

Hide AdSupper was provided, a raffle was held, and more than £500 was raised for the work of Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust throughout the county.
Next year’s quiz will be held on February 25.

The Dance Fit group on Wednesday afternoons offers music and fitness at Burgh Baptist Community Church.
Dance yourself fit to a variety of music from 2-3pm, and step lively for line dancing from 3-4pm. Beginners’ tuition is available.

It features easy exercise to music from the 60s and 70s.

* Dance Walk ‘n’ Tone
Low impact, fun and friendly Dance Walk ‘n’ Tone sessions are held at the Women’s Institute Hall, in Orby Road, Burgh le Marsh, on Tuesdays at 10.30am.
It sees participants dance approximately 5,000-6,000 steps over about 50 minutes. The remaining 10 minutes is seated with exercises to strengthen postural muscles, finishing with some cool-down stretches (no floor-work involved).

Hide AdAt their latest meeting, members of Croft Marsh and District Women’s Institute welcomed Marilyn Horner for a presentation about the history of London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Members learnt about the hospital’s world-class status in medical practice and the support it offers to patients and their families, aided by the GOSH charity and NHS funding.
MUMBY
* Table top sale
A table top sale will be held at Mumby Church on Saturday, March 7, from 10am to 2pm.
Refreshments will be available, including homemade cakes and toasted tea cakes.
Entry is free.

Hide AdSpilsby Community Cinema’s next film is Sometimes, Always, Never.
It will be screened at the Franklin Hall, in Halton Road, Spilsby, on Friday, March 6. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm showing.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for under 16s.
The next screening after that will be Toy Story 4 on the Good Friday, April 10, at 1pm, at the same venue and with the prices.
WALK
* Session
The Mark’s Tuesday Walking Group meets for its next session at the Gilbratar Point car park on Tuesday, March 3, at 10am.
Walks last until 11am and are followed by tea and coffee.
