Heather Louise Hardy, who runs Glitz and Glamour Boutique in Southgate, said with all the doom and gloom and uncertainty of whether school proms will go ahead, she decided that her boutique will be throwing a massive Leavers 2020 Party for her young customers who had already ordered their gowns, as well as friends and teachers.

She explained: “This will be a non-profit event with any profits going to local charities. If any local businesses would like to collaborate on this and make it an amazing event, please contact me via Facebook.”

Heather says she has not yet set a venue, although she already has offers to host it. All girls who have bought their gowns from Glitz and Glamour will get in free as a thankyou for supporting her business, while others will pay a small fee.

She said: “This we hope, will give you hope, confort and excitement and some certainty in this difficult and challenging time. Our aim is to give you all the send of you so rightly deserve with all the schools coming together. If your prom is rescheduled then you get to wear your prom dress twice

“We promise you this, it will be happening in the not too distant future and it will be the most amazing night to remember forever.”
