Body of man found in Dowsby Fen

Lincolnshire Police have reported that the body of a man has been discovered in the South Forty Foot Drain at Dowsby Fen, between Sleaford and Bourne.
A police spokesperson said: “While formal identification has yet to take place, we believe this to be the body of 75-year-old David, who was last seen at his address in Bourne at around 10.15pm on Sunday (March 15.)
An appeal had been put out by police after he went missing.
Police have now stated: “His family have been made aware and are being supported by specially trained officers. We are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal and those who contacted us to share information.”
