Body of man found on Skegness beach

An RNLI lifeboat crew recovered the body after being requested to launch around 2pm on Monday.

Lincolnshire Police have said they are not treating the death as suspicious. A statement reads: "The body of a man was recovered by the coastguard at Skegness beach at 2pm yesterday.

"This is not being treated as suspicious. Formal identification of the man has not yet taken place."

The recovery follows a record number of call-outs to the Coastguard nationally over the weekend as the heatwave brought thousands to the coast. For the full story see Wednesday's Skegness Standard.
