Boost for 19 community sites, clubs and projects across East Lindsey - thanks to £125,000 grant
Almost £125,000 has been awarded in grants to 19 parish councils, village halls, sports clubs and community initiatives across East Lindsey.
The money - from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund - will help to pay for all kids of improvement works across the sites – from new toilets and security cameras, to sports facilities and musical equipment.
A spokesperson for East Lindsey District Council said: “The Lincolnshire Community Foundation-run scheme, which is funded by and delivered in partnership with East Lindsey District Council, has proven popular with community groups - and this final round was no exception, with more than £4 requested for every £1 of available funding.
“Those groups who were successful in securing a grant have pledged to ‘match’ the funding with £77,577 that they have fundraised, leading to an investment of over £200,000 that will be delivered to East Lindsey’s communities in only two months.

“With the end of the national UKSPF and REPF programmes in September 2026, this will be the last round of this particular programme. It also means that these projects will be delivered in full through this summer, supporting a rapid transformation of community facilities across East Lindsey.”
The successful projects in the final round are:
• Grimoldby and Manby Village Hall – Purchase of new tables and revitalisation of car parking facilities at the hall.
• North Thoresby Cricket Club – Renovation of toilets and hot water system along with installation of new kitchen units and worktops in the clubhouse.
• Partney Dalby and Dexthorpe Memorial Victory Hall – Renovation of disabled toilet facility.
• Mareham Le Fen Village Hall and Memorial Lawn – Purchase of equipment and furniture along with staffing and publicity support for Digital Hub and Community Café project.

Coun Steve Kirk, portfolio holder for the coastal economy, and Coun Adam Grist, portfolio holder for market towns and the rural economy, said: “We are so pleased to bring this hugely successful fund to a close with a final round of impactful grants, distributed widely across East Lindsey.
“Over the past three years we’ve witnessed remarkable results for our communities, delivered in partnership with the Lincolnshire Community Foundation.
“From renovated village halls and vastly improved community spaces to volunteering opportunities, new sports clubs, improved football fields and even animal rescue centres, there have been meaningful and lasting differences made across the whole district.
“This final round is no exception and we are confident that every project will deliver the best results possible from their grant.”
