Boston theatre academy to hold summer food and craft fair to raise funds for new dance floor
A theatre academy in Boston is to stage a summer food and craft fair in a bid to raise funds for a new dance floor.
Centre Stage Theatre Academy will hold the event at Peter Paine Performance Centre, in Rosebery Avenue, on Saturday, June 20, from 10am to 3pm.
It will feature food vendors, a craft market, a face painter, a bouncy castle, and more. Academy principal Rachel Calvert said: “We are fundraising for a new vinyl dance floor. In the almost 10 years we’ve been running our school from Peter Paine Performance Centre they've supported us so much, from hire to using their space for exams, shows and much more.
“We wanted to give something back. We would like to purchase a professional dance floor to help protect their floor from tap shoes, general wear and tear, and also to enhance the space for other public groups.”
The fair is free to attend.
