The Rabbit Hole, in the town’s market place, is one of hundreds of bookshops across the UK marking the event and is the only Indie Bookshop in North Lincolnshire with offers and events.

Twinned with Wrecking Ball Press from Hull, The Rabbit Hole works closely with publishers locally and nationally, including Wildpressed Books.

The shop is a strong supporter of authors and poets based in this region including Nick Triplow, Gillian Poucher. Nell Pattison, Nick Quantrill, Tracey Townsend, Dean Wilson.

It also works closely with the local community supporting book groups and local schools.

As well as running a market stall on Brigg market to help support the local community, the shop has recently involved 14 schools and more than 900 children in a virtual event with author Chris Riddell.

Details of Bookshop Day events taking place across the country can be found on the Books are My Bag Facebook events page.
