Burnt out car found after robbery at Gainsborough petrol station

Cash was stolen during a robbery at the Gulf Filling Station on Lea Road, Gainsborough.

The incident happened this morning (Wednesday, March 24), and Lincolnshire Police are appealing for dashcam footage that was captured on Lea Road between 7.30am and 8.15am.

No injuries were reported and a quantity of cash was stolen from the premises.

A burnt out car was later located on Summergangs Lane, Gainsborough, and police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue attended the scene.

Residents in the Lea Road area are being advised to shut their windows and doors due to the risk of smoke inhalation from the burnt-out vehicle.
