Bus company raise more than £10,000 for cancer support with help from Skegness staff
Bus company Stagecoach East Midlands has raised more than £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, reaching its annual target in just six months – helped by its staff in Skegness.
The milestone signals a successful start to a three-year partnership between the business and the charity, during which Stagecoach East Midlands has pledged to raise £10,000 every year.
So far, £11,688 has been raised for Macmillan.
The money has been generated through a wide range of fundraising activities. In Skegness, this has included a Wear it Green Day, a coffee morning on Hattie the open-top bus, and the wearing of festive jumpers and costumes at Christmas.
