After a successful VE Day event, Syne Hills Residential Care Home was filled with patriotic music to help set the scene.

Carole Appleton, Business Support Supervisor, said the D-Day event was especially nostalgic. She said: "Some enjoyable experiences and treasured memories from these times were shared and cemented with a toast to us all. - with wine, whisky, baileys, sherry and some fine french cheese too!

"We joined in, got dressed up, sang, danced and indulged in the posh cheese & biscuits and all spent the afternoon together.

"Even our new hand knitted ‘bear’ joined in."
