Cases of Covid-19 in Lincolnshire have been broken down by district

Boston has had the highest number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Lincolnshire, according to the latest government figures.

The national statistics were updated last night and showed there had been 903 COVID-19 infected people in the county – 1,455 people including North and North East Lincolnshire.

However, local figures were also released which broke down the statistics into each district authority as well.

The number of cases as listed was:

Boston – 186

• East Lindsey – 141

• South Kesteven – 141

• South Holland – 131

• North Kesteven – 121

• Lincoln – 109

• West Lindsey – 74

Elsewhere, North Lincolnshire had 414 cases, while North East Lincolnshire had 138.

The total number of cases for Greater Lincolnshire is 1,455.

Across the UK as a whole, 206,715 have tested positive for coronavirus, with 30,615 patients having sadly died.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to announce the first stages of plans to ease lockdown restrictions on Sunday.
