Celebrating award-winning achievements

Mountaineer and presenter Bonita Norris was the guest speaker at the event – held to recognise the hard work and achievement of the students.
Bonita is the youngest person to reach both the summit of Mount Everest and the North Pole.

This year has been very successful for the school, with a total of 78 awards completed, including 35 bronze, 29 silver and 14 gold.

The theme of the evening was expeditions, one of the four elements of the award, and each group gave a presentation on their own experiences, before Bonita presented the bronze and silver students with their certificates.
The successful gold students will receive their certificates at one of the royal palaces later in the year.
A special award was also made to a group of gold students who had shown a truly amazing degree of improvement between their two expeditions, with supervisors saying they had never seen such a turnaround in focus, attitude and determination and felt this should be recognised.
