Characters come out to play for launch of Visit the Seaside directory

It’s the countdown to the Bank Holiday – and if you were in Skegness today there was no doubt about it.

Creatures, and fun characters gathered at the Hildreds Centre for the launch of the Visit the Seaside directory.

Mayor of Skegness Coun Pete Barry and the Jolly Fisherman were also there, along with Town Crier David Summers, who was on loan from Mablethorpe.

Free copies of the pocket-sized publication, featuring 50 of the coast’s attractions, can be found at venues almost anywhere on the coast.

They also include money saving vouchers offering discounts and kids’ freebies.

The book can also be viewed and downloaded at www.visittheseaside.com featuring an extensive list of the seaside businesses and an up-to-date calendar and what’s-on guide.
