Armed with paint brushes and garden tools, pupils were joined by their parents, family and friends for the Big Dig event co-ordinated by joint head teacher Lucy Dabb.

Fences were painted, the play area re-barked and the allotment plot tidied up and ready for this year’s planting.

“I want to thank everyone who has come along today to help us get the school grounds in order.

“It will all look fantastic when it is finished.

“To have all this outside space is a real bonus and helps broaden the children’s learning experiences.”
