A charity tractor road run, in aid of Andy’s children’s Hospice at St Andrew’s Hospice in Grimsby, will take place this Sunday evening (December 20).

The event, which will feature 50 tractors, will set off from Peacock & Binnington agricultural machinery dealers (near the Fairfield Roundabout) at 5pm and set off on a route which will include Grimsby Road, Newmarket, St Bernard’s Avenue, part of Eastgate, and North Holme Road before returning to Peacock & Binnington.

The tractors will be dressed up and lit up, and will hopefully create an exciting spectacle for the people of Louth while supporting a very good cause.

Residents are invited to come outside and give their support, although people are asked not to form crowds in order to comply with social distancing measures.

Tractor drivers will pay £10 each to participate, and there will be prizes for the ‘best dressed’ tractors on the night, plus a drivers’ raffle.

The main organiser, Taron Lee, would like to thank residents and businesses for their support, with particular thanks given to several businesses including Lincolnshire Motors, Louth Tractors, Peacock & Binnington, The Tractor Shop, The Ranch Steakhouse & Grill, Ripon Farm Services, Louth Potato Co, JJM Contracting Services, Nigel Skayman Farms, and Andrew Jay & Co Solicitors for various prize donations and sponsorships which have enabled the fundraising event to go ahead.
