That was the message from Jill Miller, one of 35 residents of Toray Pines Care Home in Coningsby to have the Covid vaccination today (Tuesday, January 12).

Over the course of three hours, 70 members of staff and residents were vaccinated.

The whole process went smoothly and without any hiccups due to the organisational skills of Emma and Ruth from the New Coningsby Surgery.

Nancy Preston was honoured to be the first resident at the home to receive the vaccine and said it was ‘absolutely fine’.

Worldly Nancy was quick to dismiss any hint of negativity and said that she had lived in China and Hong Kong during the war where she had many vaccinations.

Nancy confidently stated that the COVID vaccine was ‘nothing to worry about’.

Home Manager Sherin Kandi said: “Today marks the beginning of a return to normality for Toray Pines, Coningsby.
