Ark ICT has appealed to anyone in Boston who has a laptop they are not using or do not need so they can pass them on to local primary schools for distribution.

The company, which is based in Spalding, will clean up the laptops and repair when needs be and then get them to schools for pupils to use in their homes.

The current lockdown means that schools are only open for key workers' children and vulnerable children, so many are home learning.

A spokesperson for the company said: “We are trying to find as many unused laptops as possible for home learning use via local primary schools. If you have any laptops you would like to donate, please get in touch to arrange drop off at our office. We will then look at cleaning them up or repairing where needed and distributing them with local schools for pupil home use.

“For arrangements please email [email protected] and we can let you know a suitable time to deliver to ensure Covid-19 safety.

“Just to add we will completely erase all local data and setup as a clean device, so don't worry about what it does or doesn't have on it already.”
