Coronavirus: East Lindsey has the lowest new case rate in Lincolnshire
In an interactive map showing the seven–day rolling rate of new cases across the country, East Lindsey is now classed as a ‘light green’ area (10-49 cases) for the first time since early October, with a rolling rate of just 40.9 new cases per 100,000 population.
The interactive map shows this is significantly below the average figure across the UK.
The seven-day rates are calculated by dividing the seven day count by the area population, and multiplying this figure by 100,000.
By comparison, the neighbouring local authorities of North East Lincolnshire, West Lindsey, North Kesteven, and Boston are all currently classed as ‘light blue’ areas (100-199 cases) in the most recent available data, which refers to the seven day period up to February 19.
Overall, the county of Lincolnshire currently has a rolling rate of 117.7 cases, which is slightly above the UK average.
