Coronavirus: Head Vet hits back after they are accused of being ‘arrogant, selfish and stupid’

A Horncastle veterinary practice has hit out after a notice they had pinned outside their business - pleading with people not to park vehicles - was daubed with a message accusing them of being ‘arrogant, selfish and stupid’.

Susan Hopper - from Vet on the Corner - posted the image of the notice on Twitter.

It read: “Please keep this space clear for essential deliveries and emergencies.”

However, someone had written on the bottom of the notice: “The only restriction here is your own ignorant, selfish and stupidity.”

Mrs Hopper then posted: “David and myself are working here alone, all day, everyday throughout this lockdown trying to keep an essential service running.

In order to comply with social distancing, which we are taking very seriously, we need to keep a parking space outside the practice clear.

“This is for essential medicines to be delivered and to transfer critical patients when they are brought into the surgery.

“We are physically and mentally exhausted.

“I cannot believe that this message has come from a member of the public.

“We are not NHS staff but we are doing our best to look after animals.

“Words fail me!”
