Countdown officially on for Boston May Fair 2026, with launch of 'golden ticket' raffle
The countdown is officially on for this year’s Boston May Fair, with the ‘golden ticket’ raffle now open to entries.
The historic street fair returns on Saturday, May 2, to run through until the following Saturday.
The event transforms the town centre into a bustling fairground, with such traditional attractions as gallopers, dodgems and waltzers.
Today (Wednesday, March 11) marks the launch of the annual ‘golden ticket’ raffle.

This gives one lucky fairgoer (aged 14-and-under) the chance to enjoy free rides and activities throughout the whole fair.
Entry is limited to one per person – participants can submit their entry online by completing the form at bit.ly/BostonMayFairGoldenTicket.
Leader of Boston Borough Council Coun Dale Broughton said: “The Boston May Fair is one of our town’s most treasured traditions, and welcoming it back once again is something we look forward to all year!
“The ‘golden ticket’ raffle adds an extra sense of excitement to the countdown, and it’s fantastic to see so many people getting involved each year. We’re proud to continue working with our partners at the Showman’s Guild to make the fair a safe, inclusive and enjoyable event for everyone.”
